Description of the organization and its target audience
The Daily Trifle is a specialty bakery serving all types of trifles and similar style layered cakes, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic (trifle cake layers are often soaked in alcohol). The bakery will mostly cater to adult tech professionals in Silicon Valley, CA in the USA. It will be open in the late afternoon/evening side of the day, like an evening dessert cafe you would go to after work or dinner.

Other notes
- The defining word for the logo style I think should be "sophisticated."
- Some ideas for iconography in the logo. The icon can either be one of these ideas or a combination, however since these ideas don't normally go together (i.e. an owl and a spoon) my preference would be to combine them only if going for a more abstract icon, as opposed to using only one idea when going for a more literal icon:
1. I would love to incorporate some type of owl in the logo, since we will be open in the evening and catering to night owls.
2. Spoons, since trifles are meant to be eaten with dessert spoons.
3. A trifle itself, take a look at the attached image or google how they are typically served.
- The main title can be separated into different fonts/sizes but it should be separated into "The" and "Daily Trifle."
- If the design seems to call for it, I would be happy with the additional sub-text "Specialty Bakery" and/or "Est. 2022" in the logo. But not necessary.
- As for fonts, I tend to lean more towards serif fonts especially for the main title of "The Daily Trifle." But a bold sans-serif style could be good too especially if combined with a very realistic/classic illustration for the icon (see logo design inspirations).
- One other consideration might be that this logo will also be printed or engraved on glassware that will be sold separately and used for serving trifles.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
