I’m mostly interested in combination and wordmark logos, but I’m open to all ideas. I have a slogan, but I don't want it in the logo, but it is "the best ideas are in the morning". So I have always thought of maybe incorporating a sunrise behind something "technological"

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
