We are a board game publisher. Skewing more strategic. NOT toy. Hobby market mainly. I can get into more detail if you wish but think of games like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Pandemic, Agricola, etc.

Again we're looking for a fun, playful feel but not indicative of a toy company. Look at companies like Ravensburger, Thundergryph, Stonemeier, Capstone, Osprey games, Goliath, etc. A board game company mainly for adult gamers even though some games will be good for families.
The below logos were nice but too much "toy" vibe. You don't need to follow this at all but hopefully it will inspire to get a more adult gamer vibe. The right most file were experiments in other colors. We'd like to limit it to 2. 3 the most.
Finally it should look good in black and white and look good embroidered on a shirt.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
