CheckApp

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
We provide a mobile app that collects defect data from professional drivers of trucks, lorries, buses and vans. The data is sent back to a web application which analyses and reports on the data.

LONGER DESCRIPTION:
The mobile application collects vehicle defect data e.g. "Do the tyres have sufficient/legal tread?" and GPS co-ordinates of where the check took place. The app may be deployed onto all of a companies mobile devices e.g. 100s per company. The data from each mobile device is sent to the web application. The web application collates the data and reports on it.

The users of the mobile application are predominately professional truck, van or bus drivers. The users of the website are staff at businesses that operate trucks, vans or buses. They are paying for the service so it needs to appeal to both user groups.

The two key benefits of the application as opposed to recording the data on paper are: immediate visibility of issues; and knowledge that the check has been completed daily as it is required by law.

REQUIREMENTS
The logo MUST be square (or fit within a square box e.g. hexagon) OR it MUST have a major element that is square so it can be used for mobile application icon, favicon, etc.

The logo MUST be vector based and therefore able to scale as needed and be identifiable at different sizes.

THOUGHTS
These are just some ideas that come to mind. They are not requirements.

Something that includes location marker:
The app is collecting the current position when completing checks so it is location aware.

Checking:
A check mark or tick might be too obvious unless it has been incorporated in a novel way.

Safety:
As it is collecting defect data it is promoting safe transport

Validation:
The checks are mandatory each day so completing them gives validation that the vehicle is safe to drive on the road.

Recording data:
The app collects data from multiple mobile handsets and sends it back to the web application.

Mobile communication:
The check data is collected on a mobile device.

AESTHETICS
Something that would appeal to a lorry/truck driver tapping every day to use the app. At the same time something that appeals to business decision makers as they will ultimately be paying for the software and using the website daily.
As the app may be used by a range of technical abilities I would like the logo to immediately identify what it does. Ideally it would be fun and playful.
