The Leeward Cafe will become a favourite spot for residents and a culinary destination for ... Leeward in a nautical term meaning "out of the wind," which is fitting as our cafe is located on the water in a quaint fishing/sailing village on Vancouver Island, ... And you guessed it, the patio is out of the wind!

We're located in Cowichan Bay, a unique and historic waterfront community on southern Vancouver Island, ... Here you'll find fishing boats and sailboats, seals and sea ... Lots of docks and ... A strong sense of ... A lot of summer ... Wonderful ... Amazing ... A slower ... A relaxed ... Our logo must be fitting of ... Nothing too modern or ... Nature prevails ... We want a welcoming logo that 'fits' our authentic seaside location with maybe a hint of vintage/nostalgic, but definitely not old ... So, not too modern, and not old ... 'Nautical' colors and visuals that match our seaside fishing village ... Perhaps ocean blue color(s), but something that easily translates to black and white ... We like the visual of a knot as it represents the tying down of boats and also represents strong community ... We'd like a knot somewhere on the logo (We think! But you can show us other ideas too). A rope border around an oval or rectangular logo may also work, not ... THE VISUAL is VERY IMPORTANT!! Just like Nike uses its swoosh without the word Nike, we envision using our simple visual (ie knot or other) as our "brand badge" on sandwich stickers and the ...
