ADLA is the name of the company. "MARK" is the Swedish word for ground. ADLA MARK is a construction company that is hired during the initial part of construction. We clear trees, prepare the foundation of the ground by digging, flattening, and create a foundation of concrete where a structure will be built upon. The company does many more things surrounding the initial phase of construction.

1. In swedish, the companies that do initial phase of construction are called "Mark & anläggning". So the word "mark" (ground) is closely associated with this line of work. The word "Adel" means "nobility" in swedish. And the word "Adla" is a verb, meaning annoiting someone to "nobility", like when to queen of England "Adla" someone to "Sir" status =) But, since many Swedish company names have endings in "A", like Skania, Folkia, IKEA, Skandia, etc the association is more twoards the naming culture of companies rather than twoards the nobility aspects of the name. -- 2. The colorscheme is Black for the name Adla, blue for signifying water, and dark green. (see design suggestion file A) --- 3. Please stear away from traditional Macho, powerful, muscle, steel, dominant or anything too literal like construction machinery etc. In the design examples you can see the logos for similar companies as to know what not to do =) (File C) --- 4. In design sketch files: (sorry for my bad drawing, i can't draw =) ) A) Our suggestion, but don't feel constricted by it. More clues and instruction within the image file. B) Other construction, housing, and similar field companies with some logo design we like. C) Other construction etc with Logos we don't like --- 5. The main focus should be on the font design. Clean, elegant, simple, and easily readable. The logo will be on websites (desktop, mobile), clothing, construction machinery and vehicles, invoices, bussiness cards and smaller companie cars. The M in the word "Mark" can be loosely designed to look like a mountain. But again, don't feel constrained by these suggestions if you have better ideas. ----- 6. In the future there will be other construction companies under the "Adla" brand. The idea behind the Logo is that the brand name is "ADLA" and different subsidiarie companies in the future will be created that will do other work. The font and design of the word "ADLA" will remain consistent througout. But these names and companies below are NOT part of the competition now. Future companies: ADLA FAST = "Fast" short för "Fastighet" in swedish, meaning "Building". This company renovates builings, builds new ones. ADLA RENTAL = Rents construction machinery. From big digging trucks to lazer measurement equipment. ADLA VA GROSS = VA stands for "Vatten Avlopp" meaning water and piping. Gross means "wholesaler". This companie will sell all material concerning to construction category Water, Piping, and similar.
