I have always done my own websites, and it is a hobby. We have owned and operated a couple yacht businesses in the BVI for 13 years and love living on the water. I do a lot of underwater photography and keep up to date with all my guests and others by daily blogs.
Our target is anyone who can afford a yacht vacation mainly in the Caribbean. I specialize in SCUBA and sail Charters in the Virgin Islands. Our audience runs the gamut from families to all couples to multi generational families as well as corporate retreats. Having said that, this is NOT an "all you can eat" budget destination and most people who come here have some money. There is nothing here that should scream discount, or budget in red and yellow. Perhaps affordable luxury? However, yacht charters ARE good value for what they include in an all inclusive upscale way.
I would like the framework done for a new design. (A new tempate) I have a new logo below that I want to make use of. My site is very content heavy and it will stay that way. I would like to be able to pull in my blog into the front page, as well as buttons for social media which I use (facebook, twitter etc)
With the photography, I had gone black background. Not sure if my new logo fits that black background any more. As it is a large site, it needs to be.
I want something that is a bit quirky, but not so modern that guests cannot understand what is going on. I would say most people looking for yacht vacations want pictures, information and easily navigable pages.
I think my navigation may be a bit clunky, especially on how I list the yachts.
I do not want to change the existing file directory set ups. My blog is in serendipity and I use WUFOO for forms.
I would like the template to have a html and css file. I have already had the logo revamped so that is ready to go. I have enough knowledge to repopulate my other pages once I have a main page template.
I have one other site which is http://www.yachtpromenade.com which I will also be opening up for changes ( I hate the pastels now) but by looking at both the above site, http://www.saildivebvi.com and this one, you will get a pretty good idea of who I am and what I am looking for.
