johnqh got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Website design (un-coded) for Outfax.net
Check out johnqh's Web page design contest…
Outfax.net is a fax service for people who do not have or do not want to use a modem.
What's your vision?
Tagline: Send fax without modem Desired Color Scheme: Open Desired Style: Open Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) I just had two logo design contests with great results, so I am moving this project forward on the website (home page) design. First, the service outfax.net is service for people to send fax through internet, without a modem. There are some advantages, which will appear on the home page. Note, the exact text will be refined. Please use the following as placeholder for your design: 1. Easy - It is much easier to find wireless internet connection than phone jacket these days. You can send fax as long as you there an internet connection - whether it is at a cafe, airport, or hotel. 2. Cheap - Often, when you are on the road, the hotel or business center charge outragous fees for using telephone, especially if you are abroad. It is cheaper to use outfax.net than paying for the telephone charges. 3. Fast - Fax is old tech. It takes forever to send the fax. It is faster to have outfax.net do it for you. 4. No waiting - If the other party's fax number is busy, you will have to sit and wait. Use outfax.net and there is no need to wait. Second, requirements: The home page should have a page width of less than 800 pixals, so it fits on 800x600 monitor without horizontal scrolling. The logo should appear on the top left corner, or top center. There should be some links on top: "Home, Get Software, Member Sign in, Sign Up, Help". The main area should have "Why Outfax", with some short sentences about the advantages, and a "Learn more" link. The right side of the main area should have the log-in panel, with the usual "User Name", "Password" text boxes, and a "Log In" button. The bottom should have some text links: "Learn More, Pricing, Status, Customer Service, Terms, Privacy, FREE Software, About Us, Jobs, Press Center" Third, design Please make it professional yet not too serious. If you use any photos, please make sure it is royalty free. Please post your design early. I always give feedback. The logo is located at http://www.riverpast.com/outfax.gif
