Website Design for Ecommerce Business - Bicycle Retailer

Pushbikes – We are a bicycle retailer currently operating 3 stores in Christchurch NZ. We stock Giant Bicycles (the largest global brand) amongst other leading bicycle and accessory brands. Each store has a great selection of products, knowledgeable staff that are cyclists, full workshop facilities for servicing and bike repairs. We are also very proactive in the sport, sponsoring many events, running in store training evenings for customers, operating a sponsorship programme to about 20 Junior Mountain Bikers and are the major sponsors of a road cycling team.

The design will be for the homepage/template area of the site -Please use the provided main logo in the design -Also use the two provided brand logos in the design (Giant and Focus), but do not make them overtake the Main Logo in size etc -Use the attached sketch as a diagram for the layout -This will be a fixed width design, make the width 960px, but do not go over that number -The site will be a two column layout, with the sidebar on the right with the sidebar width of no greater than 250px -For product images etc use things from current site or stock photos, DO NOT use images from the inspiration sites DESIGN KEYWORDS -Professional -Clean COLORS -Orange and blue like logo -Light gray elements -White background -Dark grey text -Use these colors throughout the site design FONTS -Clean, San serif fonts -Trebuchet MS, Arial HEADER -Nice and clean -Layout like provided sketch -No images of bike and sky etc like current site -Main logo -Search in upper right (Simple, just the input and a search button) -Checkout, Login, My Account, and View Cart links MAIN NAVIGATION -Horizontally below the header -Same links as the sketch -Similar in design to the http://www.rrsport.co.nz/ site ITEMS IN THE RIGHT SIDEBAR -Same as sketch -Shopping Cart (Simple, just number of items in cart, and total price) -Newsletter Signup (Just email input and button, no other text) -News/Events -Workshop (With the wording "Book Your Bicycle Server Here" with an image of a bike -Locations (With a map of New Zealand) CONTENT AREA -Banner image, this will NOT be a slideshow, DO NOT put slideshow like elements on the banner like previous and next buttons, or numbers -Specials area, DO NOT put arrows on the right and left like sketch shows, make products at least 3 across -Featured Products area, DO NOT put arrows on the right and left like sketch shows, make products at least 3 across FOOTER -Layout and content like sketch -Two brand logos for Giant and Focus can go right above the footer area DO NOT DO -Black background -Less than 960px wide -Stray away from the desired colors

-Our target audience is male 30-35 year olds, but in saying that it’s really broad as we cater for so many different markets. As mentioned our site is being used activity by a lot of customers to gain information before purchasing, we will also be directing our customers (from in store) to the site to use for information, contact us, and booking services with us. *NOTICE* Please submit your designs as soon as you can.
