Koala Color is a coloring website for children that came out of a brainstorm between me and my three and five year old boys. During the pandemic with home based schooling, we had hours to fill (where I wanted them off their ipads :) . They were always asking me to print coloring pages for them to color - but the websites for free coloring pages were quite terrible to look at. (full of flashing ads and poorly designed) We thought, what if we offered new kind of website for free coloring pages for kids to keep them feeling busy and stress free during the global pandemic. A site that was gorgeous, on trend and something that mom's would like to spend time on selecting the perfect print outs for their kids. The boys thought of the name and chose an illustrator that we hired to create the designs they thought of. (juggling octopus etc) I wanted to create a site that gave moms a few minutes to themselves while their children colored happily. And so here we are. The coloring pages have been made and now we're looking for your help to bring this project to life. :)

I don't have an existing site but I have a dropbox file of reference images. It should be bright and aesthetically pleasing. But not total traditional rainbow colors. See references below. The idea is it should not look like one of those typical coloring sites but instead should be trendy and something mom's with discerning tastes would like to spend time on. Please design the hompage. This should capture the attention of kids and should have a menu at the top that says: About / Donate / Contact And then on the main homepage there should be a heading that says: 'Coloring Page Categories' And then there should be icons showing a thumbnail of a coloring page per section. The thumbnails should show a section of an actual coloring page with a cute stylish title over part of the coloring page icon. The idea is that the child clicks on it and then is taken to a page of thumnails to then choose an image to download and color. The sections are: 'Color by Number' 'Animal coloring' 'Affirmations' ' Alphabet' 'Fun Stuff to color' 'Greeting Card Coloring' The coloring pages are saved here: https://yadi.sk/d/-M_dW9JAbdCitg. Please do not use dropdown menus Navigation needs to be clean and easy for a child to understand and follow.
