digdugdog got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Site Redesign for Web 2.0 Photo Editor App: Upgraded Prize
Check out digdugdog's Web page design contest…
Lunapic.com is an online photo editor and animation tool. The new design should trend more to the Web 2.0 Style, colorful and inviting for the younger crowd (13 -18). A new logo is not necessary, but it may be tweaked if needed.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: colorful, shiny Desired Style: web 2.0 Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) I'm looking for a new site template design, it should include Homepage Sub page (for example the "text tool") I really like the existing logo, so there is no need to redesign that.. In fact, I'd rather have the design and colors should compliment the existing logo style. The site is very deep and some form of menu system to navigate the site is required. People need to be able to get a sense for how many features the site has, with out being overwhelmed from the start. I'd also like to add inviting buttons for main sections.. File, Edit, Draw, Effects, Animation, Gallery, Help The tool bar should also be updated. The arrangement of that could be changed as well. Since this is a photo application, much of the screen must be available for editing. Additionally, consideration for speed of page loads should be taken into account. Any artwork, clipart or images used must be commercial royalty free of course. Other, competitor / similar sites to consider: picnik.com , snipshot.com, fotoflexer (in comparison, lunapic provides animations and cooler effects that they don't have ) The old completed logo contest is here: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3114509
