Refreshing design and/or logo for game website

This contest will be extended with 3 more days!

We have a game website and are looking for:

1) a new eye-catching logo;
2) a new, top-quality, refreshing and attractive design that is specifically for freegamez(dot)be.

If you only want to design the logo or only the design for the website, that is alright (for 1/3 of the price pool)!

Our purpose is that the new logo as well as the new design for freegamez are very recognizable, this means that whenever someone sees the colours or logo or lay out, …. of freegamez somewhere, they will immediately associate that with our site!

Content website:
We want to keep the same content on the site as there is now: games.

Target audience:
We also would like to keep our target audience: a large audience (children as well as adults). Make sure however that the design is not too childish, it needs to be attractive, also for teenagers and adults.

Very important is that the design also has to be attractive for advertisers, who will bring in our revenues!!!! This also implies that there has to be enough space to put advertisements (mostly the same as on freegamez(dot)be).

Extra information:
We attach a lot of importance to you reading this brief and taking into consideration our remarks. However, we also want to give you some freedom, as we like new ideas. If you have a brilliant idea, please do show it to us, even if it does not completely fulfil our requirements. After all, the winner of this contest will be the one that provides us with a very nice, unique design that is well thought out and that shows evidence of originality. It is possible that in the future we will give the winner of this contest other work, depending on further projects.
Below we will give more specific information about this contest.

Desired Colour Scheme and shape:
designer has a lot of freedom considering the colours and the shape, but make sure they are really attractive to children, adults and advertisers.  We therefore do not want too dark designs or too light, but colourful and playful designs with bright colours and many colours.  We also want a modern shape, this means strange shapes or shapes with not too many corners!

fresh, creative, unique

Pages:
The website will mainly consist out of five pages: a main index, a category page, a group page, a game page and a search page. Please note that the category page and the group page are mostly the same. In fact, the two most important pages are the main index and the game page.

To save you from useless work, we ask you to send in only the main index. If you win this contest (or are close to winning), we will ask you to send in the other pages of course.

- a creative, attracting and unique design (this means use your imagination for shapes and colours);
- a unique logo to remember (you can choose to make it with or without a mascotte, but please use bright and many colours);
- a design for a 1024 x 728 screen;
- (most of) the space for advertisements needs to be in the new design as well. It is good to keep the same spots for the ads as you can see now on freegamez(dot)be, unless of course if you have a wonderful idea to change things. We want an extra 300x250 banner on the main index, but integrate it in the design so that this ad does not disturb. You are allowed to change the rest of the site completely;
- The advertisements need to be in the common measurements such as 728x90, 300x250, 120x600, 160x600, 234x60, 468x60, 120x90, ….
- A column structure for the games on the main index page (see freegamez(dot)be). Please, do remember that we are looking for a CREATIVE, ORIGINAL and UNIQUE design!!
- A tag section;
- A search bar.
