mmic got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Redesign of company profiles on our job site
Check out mmic's Web page design contest…
Our users are job seekers and employers in the "German Mittelstand" (small and medium sized companies).
Fresh, professional, light and easy. And we need to stick to our corporate color: green.
Our job site for small and medium sized companies in Germany (mittelstandskarriere.de) consists of a jobs database and a companies database. In the companies database, companies can publish company profiles about them as company and as employer. These profiles need a major rebrush to look fresh and cool! To give you an idea, what we have in mind for the relaunch, we have made some rough sketches of the content sections of the company profiles (see attachment). As you can see in the attached screenshots, after the relaunch, the company profiles were planned to have two pages and the content should stretch over the full width of the green header search box: 1. About the company (“Das Unternehmen”) 2. The company as employer (“Der Arbeitgeber”) The general layout consists of a Google maps header with the main location and a sidebar with the following content pieces (from top to bottom and the same on both pages): 1. Arbeitgebersteckbrief (“company in brief” with industries, #employees) 2. Job Match Quick Facts with 6 or 7 criteria where the company is rated (these can be “green, yellow, red” or “1 to 5 stars” or whatever rating type) 3. Tag cloud with skills the company looks for 4. Social media integration 5. Contact data of HR department (empty box in the screenshot) On the “Das Unternehmen” (about the company) page, we need to show the following content pieces: 1. Formatted text area with description about the company 2. Foto and video integration 3. Company locations with Google map On the “Der Arbeitgeber” (the company as employer) page, we need to show the following content pieces: 1. Formatted text area with description about the company 2. JobMatch criteria where we show some introductory text and a rating of different aspects influencing people’s satisfaction at the workplace 3. Employer awards (basically an image upload) In addition (not shown in the provided screenshots), we want to introduce a section where companies can add links to job offers on their websites. These links should contain: 1. Job title headline 2. Max two lines description (text) 3. Link or button IMPORTANT UPDATE: The sketched two-page company profiles can also be designed as one page as long all information is contained in the single page profiles.
