ivanv got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Quickie: Find a color scheme for this layout...

We're developing an application to handle many internal tasks in our company, but since we suck at design and color theory and the like, we solicit your services.
Codename: g@work (not important)
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Base it on #8d0000 Desired Style: Clean, professional. Accepted File Formats: PSD I attach a general layout for you to review. Basically it has a top header with global information (applicable to the whole set of applications, like messages for the user, a help button, current date and time, etc.). On the right of the appname there's an arrow and the name of the subapp. That will work as a selector to jump to another subapp. Then it's just a tabbed interface which shows the available tasks for the current "sub-application". I just drew one tab because I'm lazy but each subapp can have multiple tabs. Inside the page there will be the main content (below the cyan title). On the right there is a sidebar with common tools available for the current task. So, you have to come up with a professional and friendly look for this layout... And also design the look for: - Buttons - Text boxes and text areas - Separators (ie., an ) - A date picker - Check boxes and radio buttons - Notifications (little that can appear anywhere on the page and then fade in color or completely disappear). - Headings and titles (of course everything must work in harmony with each other). I think this is a very simple task, since no graphics are involved (or maybe simple ones you'd like to use like a gradient or a pattern for the bg), although feel free to use stock icons to designate any item (just don't go overboard "iconing" everything). Just to be clear: this involves *NO CODING*. Since this is just some quick work we need, I'm just posting this as it comes out, so if I forgot anything please feel free to ask away.
