The ISSA provides online education in health and fitness leading to certification for personal trainers. Founded in 1988, the ISSA now offers 14 additional fitness certifications for personal trainers including Bodybuilding, Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning and more. Today the ISSA has certified over 300,000 trainers in 143 countries. Most importantly this website needs to convert visitors into direct buyers. Below are some details about our customers. -18-30 years of age are over half of our customers with the remainder over 30 and into their 70s -Most are mobile device users -Equal split between men and women -A very active audience
Visually we are looking for a much more modern look and feel for our main product page, the Certified Personal Trainer. However, the focus should always be on clear communication of the key points required to lead to purchase. THEME We want an active theme. Something that inspires movement and action, but cannot overwhelm the decision making process. Most of our users are mobile so the copy above the fold or within the screen needs to be read and digested within seconds. IMAGES These are personal trainers so the images will need to be active. Lifestyle images of trainers inside or outside is good.We want relatable images of men and women that would be in the gym. We are highly inclusive of all ages, races and ethnicities and want to reflect our spirit of inclusion. We do not want to sexualize the company image and the site. While attractive men and women are desired, we do not want overly sexy images. -Men must be wearing a shirt and or tank top (no guys without shirts) -Women must not be too risque (examples are women with too much cleavage, acting flirtatious, just wearing a sports bra, etc.) -For both men and women images, they cannot be suggestively touching each other, even if it looks like they are correcting the form. ADJECTIVES Here are adjectives in which we want our website to portray. Nurturing/Supportive/Trusted Positive Flexible Inclusive Relaxed/Welcoming
The page should direct customers to purchase the Personal Trainer Certification. - We want a large hero image that captures the audience but allows for sufficient copy to showcase the price, product name, CTA button. -Each page must have these sections 1. Product details section 2. What does it mean to become a Certified Personal Trainer with ISSA? 3. What you'll get with this course 4. Customer testimonial section 5. Money back guarantee section 6. Email signup form There needs to be emphasis on this portion of the purchase process: 1. We have multiple pay options 2. Emphasize the monthly payments instead of the full price 3. We can have $1 down to start 4. We have No Fees. No Taxes. No Credit Checks. Everyone is Approved.
What to avoid
We want to use the full width of the page.
Customers love savings. We offer deep discounts during special times of the year. We would like a way to portray certifications on sale that clearly states there is a sale. Not only that, we would like the ability to hide/show what those savings are. Lastly... please design for mobile first.
