greendavid got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Platypus Games Needs Creative New Website Design
Check out greendavid's Web page design contest…
This is a repost of an earlier contest. We would like a new web site design that is more interactive and visually compelling than the current version. The emphasis needs to be on Platypus Games and its logo as a brand.
What's your vision?
Desired Style: Fun, hip, contemporary, creative! Our goal is to establish Platypus Games as a brand and prepare site visitors for future game introductions. We need consistent links and buttons for blogs, pages where a sample game can be shown, purchase info, etc. The goal is to make the Platypus logo prominent, but to allow room/space where the company's games can be highlighted on a number of different levels. Main Top Navigation Links: The Game, How to Play, Contests, Retailers, For Families, Contact Us Bottom Navigation Links: Awards and Ratings, Company, FAQS, Legal Policies We also need an area to showcase logos of organizations/associations membership as well as e-commerce/security. We want the site to feel fun and friendly. Visitors should understand within 2-3 seconds that Platypus Games is all about fun, creative games. We encourage designers to get as creative as possible with their design! The Platypus Games Logo and those colors and motif is really want we want to stress more than the Evolution chain of characters and the box. Unlike other game companies that target a specific audience (such as children or families only), Platypus games are truly designed for multiple audiences and age ranges. The site should include an interactive area that allows visitors to play samples from its first game Evolution (as well as future games).
