Coral Coast Pharmacies
Read our mission statement for a good feel for who we are:
It's a pharmacy so has a very broad audience. There is significant customer base that are women older than 50.
Logo is attached. We have a very clean corporate style and need to keep with this.
The website should be fresh and vibrant. Our tagline is "Promoting health and happiness" so the website should convey this.
As a large segment of the audience is older persons, the website should be very easy to navigate with big tabs for the menu and reasonable sized text for easy readability. It does need to appeal to younger people too.
Photos can be used in the design, see stock photos provided. We want happy lifestyle photos, not pictures of pills or boring pharmacy stuff.
We'd like a rectangular section for a photo slideshow, it won't use Flash (HTML5 instead) but that's the concept, so we can show several of the hero photos from the stock collection.
The website should have one main navigation bar with the following pages:
- About Us
- Our Team
- What We Do
- Community Support
- Contact Us
This navigation bar needs dropdown menus, so we need a style for these too.
The page you are designing will be the basis for all pages on the website. The main content area is the only thing that will change from page to page.
Website footer needs to show the usual copyright statement and links for the content management system "Register | Login".
Your design should include the following items in the main content area for the home page.
- Two promo boxes, these should include a photo, text description and link to more info. Initially one will be for EasyScript (a facility where the pharmacy keeps scripts on hand and reminds you when repeats are due etc). The second will promote locations and link to the Locations page showing where all the pharmacies are.
- A section to promote the Latest Catalogue showing a small image of the catalogue and link to download the PDF version. This will only appear sometimes when there is a current catalogue so the page needs to look ok with this section missing.
- News items – the latest news in a neat format including photo, title and description. This home page will show 3-5 of the most recent items with a link to view older items.
The current website is fine but we want more life in the design.
We don't like the confusing navigation with some pages at the top and some at the bottom - but the new navigation provided above should solve this.
