We are looking for a bright modern site that appeals to students of all ages and teachers. It should include space to highlight program information, upcoming events, excursions and latest news.
Ideally we would love to see a wide photographic header that can include images that represent the five key areas of the program (energy, water, biodiversity, materials and community)
Please note as we are a local government we must adhere to accessibility guidelines. For both comaptability with our CMS and accessability we are unable to support a flash navigation/mulitple layer as used in the example below. We can support a rotating image banner but please do not include the navigation/main menu in the banner.
Site the LfS team love:
Healesville Sanctuary - http://www.zoo.org.au/Healesville
The LfS team particularly liked:
• The use of photos on top of each text box to soften and not make the text boxes too 'boxy'
• Liked the use of silhouettes to soften boundaries of header, footer and text boxes.
The design is not limited to, but should complement the LfS logo colours outlined in the LfS Logo Style guidelines.
Please include the LfS logo in the header and Council’s logo in the footer.
The content page should include header, main menu, second level navigation, page image, general content area.
Homepage should include:
Navigation (Home, About, Resources, Grants & Awards, Upcoming Events, Schools Network, Contact Us)
Text area for Program Intro
What’s New – area for links latest information on site
Excursions/Incursions – area for dates/locations
Calendar of events – month view calendar
Subscribe to newsletter
Footer with Yarra Ranges logo and contact details
Content page should include:
General content area
Area for related documents
Area for related links
Footer with YR and LfS logos and contact details
Please supply all artwork in PSD or AI
