Blog pages are used to post educational articles and they are the main sources of organic traffic on 27001Academy. In order to improve the first impression on the visitors, ease usage, increase traffic, increase quality leads, and connect visitors with relevant prospects, there is a need for reorganization and redesign of the Blog pages on 27001Academy – https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/. 1. Design requirements: Pages in the Blog section (https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/)with included: - Main index page and author index page - Singular article page 2. Stylings and layouts: The general look and feel should be in line with Advisera’s existing websites: - https://advisera.com/27001academy/ - https://advisera.com/ - https://training.advisera.com/ - https://community.advisera.com/ When sending design proposals make sure that the proposal has included header and footer as they currently appear on the https://advisera.com/27001academy/ website: - https://www.screencast.com/t/ON0TboNNxuo - https://www.screencast.com/t/IpqecBcupHl We would like to receive new original ideas for layouts and styles, rather than simply refreshing the current pages with the existing layout. Keep in mind the modern trends, keep users' experience in the first place, and align with best SEO practices. Please read carefully attached contest specification.
Most importantly, the pages must be easy to use, with clear navigation, and should, as much as possible, encourage users to engage with an on-page call to action to download free resources inserted in the content in the form of promotional banners (e.g. https://www.screencast.com/t/3Oj8haBjxJ0d). In order to increase the number of leads these elements to be considered: - Clear visual hierarchies with items grouped together - A scroll progress bar (e.g. https://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/how-to-setup-google-analytics/) - An opt-in popup after users scrolls to a 75% page or spend some time on a blog page to capture the user’s email (e.g. https://www.screencast.com/t/u20qPevn2c) - There should never be a segment of a page where the reader will see a block of text, without displaying an image, graphic, table, list, or CTA’s included in the view - CTA’s should be well organized and displayed across the page. CTA’s must not be displayed in one place, rather should be distributed across the page so that uses at any point as navigate through the page have CTA’s in the viewport. - Consider using floating or sticky elements (e.g. sidebar) - Sections with promotional materials (lead generation) such as CTA’s, PDF downloads, Webinars signup, course enrollment, eBook purchases, and newsletter subscription strategically placed - Share buttons (Email, Facebook, LinkedIn) - Comment section with reply options - Navigation through posts - Author section: Picture of the author, name of the author, and date article was published - Suggested readings (e.g. popular, recent, editors pick) - Experiment with and without sidebar
What to avoid
Note that in blog articles we are using simple images, mostly tables, graphs, schemas, or infographics and those may not be very useful and visually appealing to be used as featured images. Therefore, when creating proposals please take a look at these articles and images in those articles: - https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/2020/04/14/free-access-to-iso-31000-and-iso-22301/ - https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/2019/12/10/relationship-between-iso-27701-iso-27001-and-iso-27002/ - https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/2020/01/20/iso-27001-practitioner-becoming-a-gdpr-data-protection-officer/ - https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/2020/01/20/iso-27001-practitioner-becoming-a-gdpr-data-protection-officer/ - https://advisera.com/27001academy/blog/2020/09/29/how-to-prioritize-security-investment-through-risk-quantification/
