Stevebailey1 got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Gold Coast Events & Party Rentals needs a new website design
Check out Stevebailey1's Web page design contest…
We hire out equipment for events. Items include Marquees, tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glassware, catering equipment, audio visual etc. We can provide equipment for weddings, parties, corporate events etc. We primarily service Gold Coast area of Queensland, Australia.
www.adepthire.com.au This business is very similar to ours but they have a physical store that customers can visit. I think we can make a site that looks much better. www.porsche.com Maybe its just the very good quality image but this page looks simple and uncluttered. Maybe a little less white. www.k2skis.com I like the transitioning images on the homepage and the horizontal menu and submenu that pops up. Also, the background image. Maybe do a background like this with an image of a beach photo of "Gold Coast Australia" (google it!) www.nasa.gov I like the size of the transitioning image on the homepage. Also the buttons next to the large image.
There are a couple of things the page "must have". -I'll need a menu and each menu catatory will need an additional sub menu. Munu catagories are: Marquees & Structures, Flooring & Staging, Furniture, Glassware, Cutlery & Dinnerware, Table & Bar Accessories, Catering Equipment, Linen, Display & Accessories, Audio, Lighting & Electronic Media, Contact Us. All of these catagories will have products which will be part of a shopping cart. -Search feature to search the site -I have a few photos next to the company logo of things I have available from a couple of different menu headings. Images attached. -Make a space for social networking such as Facebook, twitter etc -Include buttons/links for the following topics:- Ideas, Examples & Packages, Free Site Inspection, Supporting the Community, Gallery, Reviews, Helpful Hints & Sizing Guides, Terms & Conditions, FAQ's. -There will be a shopping feature and a summary of this will be on every page. Include a space for this. On the homepage have 1 or 2 large images side by side with about 3 images transitioning(towards the top of the page). Use photos from www.harrythehirer.com.au (Harry has great images) I'll update with my own images before I upload to the web.
I really want my site to be fresh, non cluttered and easy to use. I want customers to think we bring a breath of fresh air to the party hire industry and that we are innovative. Try to limit scrolling by the user
