Shop My Insurance Now
Shop My Insurance Now is looking for a website focusing on auto insurance, but with other personal lines of insurance available as well. It needs to come across as being a huge company with a professional feel, reaching out to middle aged consumers. It is an online insurance brokerage that shops auto as well as home, renters, and condo insurance to find the best rate for each individual. The main focus is on auto insurance.
We want a fast, striking, clean and attractive website. Create a place where a 45 year old woman would feel comfortable and still curious about what the icon (The Shopper, a cartoon calculator) in the middle of the page can do for her. We don’t want the site to come across as corny; instead, we are looking for a relaxing and light hearted feel being that the issue of insurance typically comes across as a gloomy matter.
Our main audience will be females, ages 30 to 50 years old. They will have some college experience, but most likely they will be putting in long hours and we will reaching them at their home, after a long day at work; with this in mind, we need to give them a site that is fun and they need to know it will be worth their time. They will be looking at sites like insurance.com esurance.com H&R Block
The home page needs to draw the viewer to the Focal Point, a cartoon calculator named “The Shopper”. We are looking for a 3D cartoon calculator with arms and legs and a memorable face. It needs to look like a calculator standing up (possibly with wheels for legs and rear view mirrors for arms) and a calculator face possibly "resembling" the type of faces from the animated movie, “Cars”... (just an idea... see attachment). The calculator himself needs to be a Quote Now button and we will code it for that later.
The home page needs four sections across the top
Auto, Home, Renters, Condo each of these needs to have a drop down with “Shop Now” as the place to click.
In the future we will be coding a scrolling bottom section with catchy phrases running through it. Pleaes create catchy looking phrases for that future scrolling banner. Each phrase should feel like its own... they shouldn’t distract, but they still need to be attractive: The best 5 minutes you could spend, Why not let the Shopper Decide? What is the best company for you?
Use http://www.insurance.com/default.aspx as your backbone for what the site should structurally look like, but make it your own and use your creativity!
Thank you for putting your time and effort into this and we can’t wait to see what you come up with
