clay.drouin got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Design a kick ass website for the Post & Row Local Taphouse!
Check out clay.drouin's Web page design contest…
Food & Drink
A restaurant focusing on local craft beers and quality but simple appetizers, charcuterie boards and handhelds. Our audience will be millennials and baby boomers alike, looking for real products in a friendly and real environment.
www.postandrow.ca (we have the domain, but nothing developed)
Conforming to existing brand guidelines and logo development. Looking for something aligned with a typical brewery. Wood, metals, brick stand out. Clean and sleek but nothing flashy.
Page 1: Homepage. Something clean, simple but effective. Nice visual(s). Possibly have info of hours, address, contact info and social media links etc on bottom (maybe have this info on each page at the bottom) Page 2: About - info on who we are, what we offer... maybe some cool pictures of the city or area Page 3: Menus - both food and drink Page 4: Shop/Store. A page where we can effectively show our merchandise, sell memberships for the establishment and take payments via PayPal or credit card.
What to avoid
We want to look clean and professional but also not too serious... Trying to highlight woods, metals and brick... taxidermy, agriculture... Beer and good food. Conform to brand guidelines and logos already developed. I do prefer our brown colour over the orange though. Best theme in my mind has our brown with white logo, lots of wood and historic pics of the area or similar to it
We will be launching this website and all social media platforms before we have opened the establishment. Very important that the website looks good and allows us to sell the membership packages in a seamless and effective way. Shop and payment system will be imperative. We want to focus on the local area and landscape. Also old style pictures of the area... we are named after 2 iconic landmarks in the area. See attached pictures. would be nice to incorporate as much history as possible. *Important - my first logo still needs to be updated to reflect "taphouse" and "2019" years... I would like to utilize both logos (2nd logo being created on 99designs and will be imported into this contest)

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
