How craterlabs started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a Toronto-based studio specializing in the use of deep learning to launch cutting edge computer vision, predictive analytics and machine learning applications.
Our target audience is technology companies that want to use AI/ML but don't have the capabilities in house. We're like a Digital Agency but we do AI.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
We want a website that is simple to navigate, with short and to the point content as shown in our document. A single long scrolling homepage with a few sections is our ideal. In terms of colours, blues, purples, reds are cool. We want something with original illustration as opposed to photography, and with a theme of sending a rocket to the moon (but not always landing successfully - in a fun way - hence 'moonshots with impact') - or taking a moonshot (i.e. taking on an extreme challenge, but in the context of technology). We build AI applications, so buzzwords like neural networks, computer vision, classification etc., can be sources of inspiration.
We've got two ideas for logos and fonts as a base for inspiration. Feel free to build out from either logo.
We would like to use on of these two logos as inspiration for our website.
We would like a long scrolling homepage, with a few service areas, and a second page we can use as a template for anything else we want to add in the future. The document attached outlines what we are looking for the on the homepage, including products on the one page, then a basic template for an about us/contact us page.
What to avoid
Photographs - we're going for a professional illustrated look.
We would prefer illustrations as opposed to stock photos. We've also got a sense of humour!
