How fjardim started their web page design journey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a mobile marketing and technology company, offering data solutions to agency and brand clients in the form of audience insights, campaign performance metrics, recommendations, etc.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Business & Consulting
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
We have a color scheme and style we currently use, attached as a file to this brief. That said, we encourage you to bring your own ideas to the design, so do not feel like you have to stick to it very strictly.
As this is an analytics dashboard, what is more important in terms of style is simplicity and ease for the user to find and digest a lot of information. Use accent colors to highlight or differentiate important elements, while keeping in mind good use of negative space so content doesn't feel cluttered.
Content wise, follow the wireframe also attached to this brief. However, feel free to reimagine any of the more "boring" graphs/charts and layout if you have ideas of how to portray them in a more interesting way. We do not want you to just color inside the lines, but bring your creative spin to it!
This current concept is just 2 sections of the same analytics dashboard: Campaign Performance and Audience Insights.
The content is outlined in detail in the wireframe attached to this brief. However, it is meant to just give you a guideline. We encourage you to think outside the box and get creative with any of the elements, layouts, and visuals. Additionally, feel free to introduce points of interaction and other UI/UX elements, such as hover overs, tool tips, and other user events that can help them navigate and gather info.
What to avoid
As this would be a functional, client facing dashboard with systematically generated content, it is best to avoid any imagery/photos that may not be relevant in every situation.
In general, you should also avoid just giving a color treatment of the wireframe or copying the graphs from the powerpoint if possible. We are interested in working with designers that can think independently, contribute to the user experience, and reimagine concepts/think outside the box.
This contest is just the beginning of what we hope is a longer relationship with designer(s). The idea is to tap into a creative community to bring fresh ideas, concepts, and design direction into this product while it is still in concept form...so have fun with it! The goal is not only to choose a winner for prize money, but also to select potential freelancer(s) to bring into the much larger future project.
