How Levi Jensen started their web page design journey
Demas is a Norwegian producer of electrical distribution and control switchboards and automation control systems. We also provide other various engineering products and services. The company also sells electrical components to electrical contractors online. Demas is the only company (that we know of) which provides its customers the possibility to quickly design their switchboards online before they place their order for it. This will be a huge time saver in the industry. (The application is not available on the site today ). To present this ground breaking product in a best possible way, we need to change the look of the current design of our website.
For more than 20 years Demas has been delivering its products mainly in Norway. But the company is working on tapping new foreign markets. This fact makes great demands to the website which becomes an important marketing tool and serves as a“business card”to people who has no idea what Demas is. This and the fact that the current website is outdated and not very appealing (http://www.demas.no) is the biggest reason why Demas need to change their website. A second reason is also that we want to boost our web-shop sales domestically.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to make an impression on our potential clients in new markets in other countries that Demas is a serious industrial Norwegian company with quality products and services as well as know-how. At the same time we want to draw attention from new potential clients in Norway who find our site.
In other words, we want the website to be fresh and not too formal but at the same time we want it to have a professional and clean look and feel to it. Fresh and elegant?
Clients consist mainly of electrical contractors, Electro wholesale dealers, electricians, ship builders, the army and other businesses.
Secondary target audience will be potential job applicants and local people who wants to keep track about what is happening in the company (the company is situated in a small norwegian community) .
As of today, our color profile is based on yellow, green and blue. See the green and blue in attachment “original_logo”. For the yellow, see ”building_yellow”.
Use logo in attachment, and not from our current site. It's excellent if you can incorporate the complete logo in the design in a way. An option is to use just the text part of the logo.
It is not obligatory to take these designs into consideration, but feel free to use elements our current brochure if you want to.
For all the pages, feel free to use the layout in the wireframes and example images, or move things around as you like.
We want a fixed width < 1000px. No horizontal scrolling when using a 1024px screen resolution - PSD files upon final delivery. No HTML or CSS required of course.
We want a looping flash with pictures of products, the building (inside and outside) which give an impression of what we do, and also gives a hint of an environmental friendly profile (alot of the systems we are made to cut energy consumption).
