Dracovich got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Create a webshop for Odin MMA, a fight wear company

We sell MMA (mixed martial arts) and grappling appearel/gear. To start with, we only sell MMA shorts (see Hayabusa, Sprawl and Tapout for similar products).
Any large retail website can be used as a UI guideline, not sure about actual graphic design inspiration, my doodle perhaps, but like i said, it's horrible work so don't take it too literally.
I need a landing page and general setup for a webstore. The UI design (layout) should take a note from all the largest shops online, since they spend a crapton of money on UI research. I'm thinking simple left sidebar for the shopping categories (Shorts, Rashguards, hoodies etc) and a vertical bar underneath the header with links to company information (about us, contact, faq etc). Header should contain name in the typography of our logo at minimum, but feel free to do your thing here. It can either use the existing logo we have (or a part of it), or some improvised graphic (ravens are the main theme of the logo, so if you think you can do something cool with that, a drawing/outline/silhouette of a raven, that would be great, although i should mention it should NOT be cartooney, more in the realistic/comic book'ish category if you do decide to make a drawing of a raven). Landing page is pretty much up to you, maybe only a graphic? Maybe some news section and top selling products? Mostly looking for clean and professional design, not too busy, and not too glossy or 2.0'ish. Sharp lines/corners preferred (though not demanded). Would be nice if there was some kind of highlighting/flair to make it pop a bit more than just straight up colors, and this could perhaps be a bit more dirty/gritty (i know i'm kind of contradicting myself with the whole "clean" description from earlier, but hopefully you get what i'm trying to convey). Color scheme: White, Black and blue (either royal/dark blue, or a dark retro blue), in that order of magnitude (so mostly white, some black and some blue highlighting). I'm thinking white main background, black header background, and perhaps the sidebar could have white background with some blue highlights. I've attached a picture of the shorts (this is our only product to begin with), a JPEG of the logo, an illustrator file of the logo, and a really (really!) bad sketch i made of the website as it is in my head. PLEASE don't take it too literally, and my apologies in advance for the horrible artistic work (if i had artistic talent i'd try to do this myself, but i have none). Bottom line though, you guys have artistic talent, not me, so don't take my requests TOO literally, if you have a great idea that conflicts with what i said, go with it.
The overall theme of our products is clean and professional, core audience is probably 18 to 30 year olds, with athletic healthy lifestyles. If it makes any sense, we are trying to be the opposite of tapout, so no skulls and bones or badass attitude. Late addition: I forgot to mention who Odin is and what it stands for. Odin is the old Norse/Pagan god of war, gave away one of his eyes for the "Wisdom of ages", and has two Ravens, Huginn and Muninn that fly around and report to him the happenings of the world (these two ravens are teh ones depicted in my logo). He was picked as he is the god of war, and the company caters to combat practictioners. You can read more about Odin on his wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odin
