Attorney & Law
My website provides specialized licensing rules to attorneys who want to temporarily to practice in other states.
Sort of. The development link is at http://pro-hac-vice.herokuapp.com/
The style must be clean and conservative; it has to convey that the information presented on the site is credible and can be relied upon. I want to stick with the color scheme in the logo (see attached files). There is a decent amount of text, so hopefully the design of the pages and the heading styles can help break that up. I included some example websites that do this well. I would like to avoid trendy fonts, but please do include names/links to google fonts, etc., so my web developer can implement the fonts you use. My goal is to present the information clearly but also with some level of visual interest instead of just a bunch of text on the page.
In general for each page, I would like to update the top navigation bar (where it says, About, Disclaimer, Advertise, and Contact) to look better and include the logo. For the state page, I would like to update the on-page navigation on the left-side to match the look you design. Specifically: Page 1: State Page. This is the page a user comes to when they click on a state on the map on the homepage. It has four parts: the "blurb" that appears when they land, a section where the user can download forms, a list of common questions, and a contact section (since this is a separate part of the site, I have listed it as a separate page below). For the blurb, I would like to have the fonts and links styled consistently with the rest of your design. This part of the page will eventually get moved down, so it is not a big priority. I would like the Common Questions styled in a way that breaks up the text into manageable chunks, like the yearofprofit.com example. I would like the Forms page to have stylized icons for the documents (they will all be pdfs, but certain states will have more pdfs than others). Page 2: Contact form. The contact form will ask for the user's name, e-mail addres, state of practice (with a dropdown), subject (also with a dropdown), and a space for a message. There will also be a note that we will respond within 1 business day to all requests.
What to avoid
Changing the color scheme and difficult to read and/or trendy fonts.
I really appreciate you taking the time to submit designs. Please message if you have any questions. Thank you very much, Valerie
