Travel & Hotel
Our customers are tourists visiting Toronto from other countries. We offer not just traditional bus tours of Toronto, but also tours that depart from Toronto to surrounding attractions. We are not the actual tour operators. Tour Companies contact us to list their tours on TorontoTours.ca. We make a small percentage from each tour sold. The Niagara Falls day tour that departs from Toronto gives us the highest profit %. The website has been around for 10 years with little redesign. It is very outdated and because of that sales have decreased and Tour Operators have decided not to list.
http://www.viator.com/ - this is our #1 competitor. It feels very professional, is informative, and organized. But it is feels very much like a cookie-cutter website. TorontoTours.ca must be at least as professional looking but distinctly Torontonian. Be creative! Make the TorontoTours.ca website feel very much like it is local. https://www.niagarafallsbustours.ca/ - this is our #1 competitor for Niagara Falls tours. The design of TorontoTours.ca has to be superior to this design. Although I do not particularly like this design I do want you to see who we are competing with.
Our main focus in the website redesign is to be creative, fresh, visually appealing, and local. We do not want a cookie cutter design that we can easily get from Monster Template. Homepage http://torontotours.ca (current): our current homepage is very dated and not aesthetically pleasing. It should showcase our tours with a slight emphasis on the Niagara Falls day tour from Toronto. On the homepage it is important to i) call attention to the variety of tours we offer ii) show that buying online from us guarantees the lowest price iii) the tours we offer are only from the best Tour Operators iv) Transactions are safe **New Requirement** A short booking form (Date, Tour Tye, # Adults) must be present on the main page. Tour Page http://torontotours.ca/tours/framesniagaratours.htm (current): this would be a page where a tour’s full description is shown. The tour page should include what is covered on the tour, prices, dates and times offered, pictures, and possibly video, etc. Other pages: creating other pages like the tour purchase form, contact page, etc is not necessary. I will use the Homepage and Tour page you created as a template for other site pages.
I do not like our current website design. Please think outside the box and submit something fresh. I would prefer that it have a local feel. Think of the CN Tower, multiculturalism, hockey, Canadian maple leaf, for inspiration. Or not. If you feel inspired to do something that is outside the box, your design will definitely be considered. The main focus of the homepage should: i) call attention to the variety of tours we offer (Toronto bus tour, Toronto Helicopter Tour, Hippo Tour, Helicopter Tour, Niagara Falls tour, etc) ii) a slight emphasis should be put on the Niagara Falls day tour that departs Toronto daily iii) show that buying online from us guarantees the lowest price iv) we are local and independent and we only offer tours from the best Tour Operators v) Transactions are safe If it does not affect the aesthetics of the web design I would like to have a booking form (or partial form) directly on the homepage. Perhaps a small box that has the tour date, tour type, # of people, pick-up location, etc. Logo: we don’t have an official logo. So don’t get caught up trying to incorporate our current one on torontotours.ca The website has to compete with http://www.viator.com/Toronto/d623-ttd. Ask yourself, if prices were the same would you book on a website with your design or Viator?
