Brendon S got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Bright, Energetic Design Required - $300
Check out Brendon S's Web page design contest…
We need a skilled designer to come up with a theme and design for a new website. We're looking for something simple, but bright and vibrant, using icons where appropriate. The site offers a service that remembers your life insurance policy details, and sells a product to help you find old policies in your name.
What's your vision?
Tagline: Don't let your life insurance disappear with you... Desired Color Scheme: Primarily Orange and Gray Desired Style: Bright, Energetic Accepted File Formats: Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) Site Overview This website will: - Provide some basic information for visitors, with a goal of promoting signups and sales. - Members can sign up to the site (Free 6 months, then annual subscription fee) - Visitors can purchase our kit (or pay us to use the kit on their behalf)This site is all about life insurance. Unclaimed life insurance policies in Australia go to the government after 7 years. The site will allow members to store a few details about their life insurance policies so that they or their family will have the information in one place. Members subscribe, get the first 6 months free, and then pay an annual subscription fee to remain a member. Visitors can also purchase a Kit. The Kit is a collection of letters and documents that can be filled out and sent to various insurance companies through Australia to find out if you or a family member has a policy there. The kit can be bought as a package of documents, to be completed and sent out by the customer. Alternatively, the customer can pay an additional fee for us to fill out the kit and send it out on their behalf. This option requires a letter of authorisation and a question sheet to be filled out and sent back to us. Theme We're looking for a cheerful and energetic theme. Use bright colours to emphasise this, and leave plenty of empty space. You might try some icons, gradients and shading to help with this. Logo We currently have a logo from a previous version of the website. We like the design, but not the colors. We're happy to change to a different logo if you feel something else will better brand the service and suit the website. - Small Version - Large Version Site Layout and Functionality We'd like to have a header area, with a horizontal navigation bar underneath. If appropriate, we'll use a dropdown menu here. That will be decided later. I imagine having a main content area, and a sidebar. We're flexible on this - if you come up with something that works better, we'll consider that. We'll build a blog into the site, and will need Signup and Login forms for membership. Payment for membership subscriptions and kit purchases will be done through paypal for now. We'll have a Member Only area where members can update policy details, and an Admin area for the site owner to manage the user database. You do not need to design anything for these areas. Payment Note: We are offering prize payment via Paypal. If the winner wants to be paid by another method, we may re-open the contest. Or if we agree, any additional charges incurred will be deducted from the prize amount. Artwork, Icons, Stock Photography: Must be original artwork, or with a license available from iStockPhoto.com. You could also use something like the FamFamFam icon set, which is freely available under Creative Commons with no licensing fee.
