What's your vision?
Tagline: Video Game Content Management System Desired Color Scheme: Light Desired Style: Light style, Professional, well thought out. Accepted File Formats: PSD, XHTML/CSS I am currently developing a Custom made Gaming Content Management System (www.vgpanel.com). This system is going to be state-of-the-art, powerful, and provide people who want to start a gaming website up, a cheap but decent starting point. I am currently looking for a unique, custom made template to use on the system, as a default skin. You DO NOT need to code it into the system, however I will need it XHTML/CSS compliant coding. Please read the brief in detail, and ensure that you cover the main aspects. Main Page The main frontpage will need to be both attractive and functional. It must be laid out logically. There must be the following sections: Featured Article (A section featuring a current article). Latest News. Navigation (left side to seperate parts of the site). Navigation to Different Platforms (E.g. PS3, Xbox 360, DS, etc) Anything else you can think of that would work on the frontpage. Sub-Page The main subpage needs to be quite dynamic. It needs to follow the same basic layout as the other pages, but obviously have space for large amounts of content (such as a review/preview). A nice section on the page somewhere for Game Information would be good (see example sites below). All Pages All the pages must have left side navigation. It must be dynamic (It can change easily) and be seperated into sections. You must logically lay out the website, and have it function nicely. What you DON'T need to do NO PHP coding is required. I simply want the PSD's, and the coding. I will then put the template into the CMS myself. I don't want to see half-hearted attempts - the CMS is going to be professional and I want the default skin to reflect that. Example Sites www.360monster.com (I write for these, superb layout, well thought out, nice game info sub-pages, etc). www.gameroll.com (Nice Colours - decent featured article section. I don't like the right hand side, also a bit too skinny) http://uk.ign.com/ (Top half of site is great - great looking design, maybe a bit too "clumped" - Platform links at the top are spot-on). If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am quite happy to BUMP UP the PRICE if I see a design I really like. I'll pay more money for a well though out design that really works and I can see evidence that you have actually really though through the design. Future design work will also be provided. USE YOUR HEAD - THINK about what would work and what wouldn't. I am a website designer myself, So I know what works - I just haven't got the time to make the design. You can either use the VGPanel Logo I have there, or make a new one, I'm not fussed. Contest closes in 2 weeks, although I reserve the right to end early if I see a design I want.
