Mimecast needs a 'patch' designed for a shirt

I'm looking for a 'patch' to be put on the sleeve of a Hawaiian shirt. The project is H4O (the four is either super-script or sub-script or something similar). Attached is a basic mockup. The blue and orange are corporate colors so if they can be incorporated into the final design that's great. But don't let the color palette hold you back. What I'm looking for is something with more of a 'surfer' feel. Something which evokes the '60s surfing era and looks a bit more like the graphics of the time. Whatever it is must be able to be embroidered onto a cloth patch. So the # of colors cannot be outrageous (and gradients are out of the question) and there's only so much detail you can get with the embroidering process.
