BigJens got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Help Woodpeckers Softball Team with a new t-shirt design

We are a Slowpitch Softball Team.
What's your vision?
For our 10th anniversary next year we want to give away free shirts to all the participants of our annual softball tournament. The shirt should represent both, the softball tournament and the anniversary. A design with a woodpecker would be welcome but is no must, what we don't want are the stereotypical bats and balls in the background and no skulls. We are looking for a front and a back design. Our team name is '(Kornwestheim) Woodpeckers'. Our tournament is called the 'Woodpeckers Spring Tournament 2012' Our main colors are red, royal blue and gray. To reduce the printing costs designs should not have more than 4 colors or better less, gradients are possible. The design will be printed on cotton shirts. The shirt will be worn by adult softball players all over Europe and will represent our colors and our team, the design should be unique, eye-catching and have a high recognition value. Any style and any idea is welcome.
Shirt will be worn especially off the field by adult Softball players. Men and women.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at $269.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
