Art & Design
AMBRO Manufacturing is a T-Shirt, Embroidery and Garment Decorating company. We provide custom design services for a wide range garment decorating services.
What's your vision?
We have an opportunity to sell the NRA "National Rifle Association". Our need is to have 4 T-Shirt designs made to be presented to the NRA in 2 weeks. If they like the designs, they will buy several hundred T-Shirts from us, if they don't, they won't buy anything. This is their #1 selling design right now http://www.nrastore.com/nrastore/ProductDetail.aspx?c=12&p=CT+247&ct=e We want to have an artist use that design as inspiration but create brand new art for us to present to them. Some basic guidelines. 1. Design should be between 4 and 6 colors 2. No blood and guts 3. No violence 4. PLEASE go to the NRA website and read the About Us section. Understand what they are about and use that in your design. 5. The people that buy these shirts are 100% full blood American, Mostly Republican, They are a Man's Man type guy. 6. No "Don't Tread On Us" etc ... 7. Go to the NRA store and see what they are selling.
When we select the winning design, it must be presented in an .AI "Adobe Illustrator" format. We recognize that we are asking for 4 designs at a price that might be considered for just 1 design, however, we are also going to pay the artist royalties on each T-Shirt sold. We don't know how many T-Shirts will sell, but the artist will recieve a royalty on each T-Shirt sold with their design. We will not be selling these T-Shirts 1 at a time, so any royalty will be paid based on a bulk order of shirts to the NRA. We can not guarantee that we will get a sale with the NRA, but we have a solid contact there and an opportunity to present the designs and they have a genuine interest in buying. If we like the artist that wins this contest, we would also like to explore developing a long term relationship with that artist, to work with us in this fashion. We have a strong sales team, but we find more and more our business has transformed from us asking for art from customers to simply print, into the customers telling us to create the art. We have in house artists, but they are primarily layout and type setting art professionals, we do not have creative design artists. Royalty Free clip art CAN be used in the design, these designs do not have to be 100% hand drawn. If you want to do that, great, but we recognize that asking for 4 designs as part of this project and in 7 days time may require some clip art to be used. Our plan is to present these 4 designs to the NRA and to gain several hundred T-Shirts ordered for each design, and do so on an ongoing basis. The artist who participates in this test, will need to understand that there is some element of risk, in that the NRA could very well not like any of the designs and subsequently not buy. We dont' expect an artist to work for free in hopes of a royalty, so we will always pay something for the art, but as with any risk and reward scenerio, we are asking for the artist to bear some of the risk by accepting a rate lower than their typical rate in hopes of the royalties. We are highly motivated to make money selling T-Shirts, so if you become our artist on this project and others, you will in effect gain a sales team that is actively out there promoting your art, with the potential for you to earn ongoing royalties on the work that you do for us. For this particular design, we need it to incorporate no less than 3 colors and no more than 6.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at $269.

The designer designed a logo that is exactly what we wanted. The designer also modified the design multiple times according to our wishes and provided the final files in multiple different formats and colors.
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
