We are in the business of making people happy and making them feel special through gifts. The three words that define our brand are: 1) Joyful 2) Sophisticated / Romantic 3) Practical We are aware of the paradox between 1 and 2 and that will be a challenge for the designer. Like the simplicity in its name, the visual style should be clear and crisp. We assume that these brand values will lead to a color palette with limited colors but you are welcome to challenge us on this. Even if we have a broad palette, we want a single color that defines our brand (e.g., brown defines UPS, red defines Ferrari and Vodafone). Our logo should have a visual element that should speak our brand in absence of the word "Joi". Although most of our business will be flower delivery, we do not want to limit our brand just to flowers. As we think of our brand, the celebrities that come to mind are George Clooney / Penelope Cruz. In fact Nespresso commercials capture most of our brand values (e.g., https://youtu.be/83_ceB0TsiY) They are funny and joyful while being sophisticated and they sell a practical and fast product. We also like their branding and visual style. We want our logo to communicate "gifting" without being too obvious or tacky relying heavily on cliches.

What to avoid
We will operate in some conservative societies (e.g., Saudi Arabia). We should refrain from any cultural references which may be objected in these cultures. Please note that although the cultures may be conservative, their color palettes can be aggressive. E.g., Purple is considered a masculine color in the Middle East.
