The client needed a modern, visually striking yet authentic design for their ceremonial-grade matcha, appealing to Western markets. They wanted a balance between modern branding and traditional Japanese aesthetics while clearly communicating the product’s benefits. They requested incorporating a Maneki Neko mascot to reinforce cultural authenticity and luck symbolism.
I created a custom illustration of the Maneki Neko and added a traditional green wave pattern for depth and elegance. To enhance clarity, I incorporated custom icons highlighting key product benefits and a bold red frame for strong shelf presence.
