The client needed an eye-catching illustration that could be embroidered on to a sports shoe. It had to appeal to a variety of potential customers and be easily embroidered.

I chose an abstract wave, inspired by Polynesian art, with bold attention-grabbing colors. It added visual movement to the top of the shoe, and accentuated the flow shown in the sole cut outs.
