Matchbox Mail sends subscribers tiny delights for $7 each month. Each monthly Matchbox is filled with small trinkets focused on fun and unique themes like adorable office supplies (cute paper clips, tiny pens, etc.) or tropical getaways in a box (drink umbrella, glass vial of sand, and a lip balm). Our target audience is women, age 25-50, who work hard (in an office or at home with their families) and want to treat themselves without feeling guilty. They could be moms, and might not often spend a ton of money on themselves. Matchbox Mail is about sending tiny delights in the mail to make people happy.
What's your vision?
I need a label designed for our monthly surprise Matchbox Mail box. Our matchboxes are white, and the dimensions are 3 inches (length) x 1.75 inches (width) x 0.75 inches (depth). Boxes being used: (http://www.papermart.com/slide-open-boxes/id=16267?SearchItemNumber=8227126) I would like the label to wrap all the way around the outside of the container starting on a side (rather than the top or bottom). The label won't wrap around the part that is open- the tray will be able to freely slide in and out with the label on. So it's the length of the box is the width of the label- 3 inches. The height of the label (5 inches) is the width of all 4 sides- .75 + 1.75 + .75 +1.75. Each "panel" of the label needs to have its own (invisible) slight margin to accommodate for slight inconsistencies of placing the label. The company I found to print has an ability to print in .25 inch increments, so I sized down slightly, suggesting a total label dimension of 2.75" (w) x 4.75" (h). Also, the first side "panel", needs to be upside down, as well as the bottom "panel" to take the wrapping into account. Diagram in the file section. (Please someone correct me if my thinking is wrong on this!) They will be printed on the following material: Material Type: Vinyl Sticker Thickness: 3.4 mil Color: White Temperature Range: -10°F to +200°F Backing: Crack-and-Peel Backing Please make sure the files will be print-ready according to the following guidelines: https://www.psprint.com/helpcenter/preparing_artwork_files/print_ready_check_list/index.asp The label should include the following: -Our logo (attached) - "Warning: Contents will cause joy and delight. Matchbox Mail should only be opened only when a smile is desired." (on the side) - www.matchboxmail.com (on the other side) - Please leave a section of the bottom that can be changed each month to describe the monthly theme. I will need space for about 50 words. For now you can use: "I see you over there working away, doing your thing. You absolutely deserve a tropical vacation. Please enjoy this moment of piña colada zen, brought to you by your friends at Matchbox Mail."
- I've made a Pinterest board of styles that I like: https://www.pinterest.com/laurenethorp/packaging/. (Please do not copy any of these- for inspiration only.) Though there are a lot of floral patterns shown here, the design doesn't necessarily have to have floral. - I love saturated color. Our color palette can be found in the attached logo. - I think I would describe the aesthetic as vintage modern. - I'm looking to get my products sold in Anthropologie (http://anthropologie.com), so a similar aesthetic would be great - Our current landing page is http://signup.matchboxmail.com - The packaging boxes may eventually be kraft brown instead of white, so keep that in mind.
