Don't Skin Your Rail! A problem we've all dealt with when hauling an ATV in the bed of a pickup truck is the metal to metal contact between the ATV's front rack and the truck's bed rail beneath the back glass. This metal to metal grinding occurs during the entire time of transport: while starting, stopping, and turning. Rail Rubber, LLC is the manufacturer and wholesaler of a bed rail mounted bumper designed to prevent this metal to metal contact, which typically results in dents and loss of paint to the truck's bed rail and the rack of the ATV. This marine grade rubber bumper will stand up to the outdoor elements and all of the abuse you can deliver.
What's your vision?
www.railrubber.com - I am getting ready to test the market with this new product, and need help finalizing my packaging. My buyers will be ATV or "quad" dealerships, and my product will be displayed in the dealership. These solid rubber bumpers weigh about 3 pounds and are 18 inches long. I want the dealer to have the ability to hang the product up in his/her store, so I am using a clear 3 mil plastic bag that is 4"Wx24"L. The part that I need help designing is the tab at the top. The bumper will be inserted into the bag and then this tab will be stapled, sealing off the bag. The dealer will need to be able to hang the product up, so I'll need a spot for a hole centered at the top of the tab. Since the bumper is black and the bag is clear, I was thinking of making the tab bright orange so it will stand out, but I'm not a designer so I'm open! I have attached photos of an installed bumper in the bed of a pick up truck and photos of the bumper with additional components and the plastic sleeve. I would like for a customer to be able to walk down the isle of a store, glance at the package for a few seconds and understand what this product is used for. Even though it's purpose is simple, there is no competing product on the market. www.railrubber.com
