We are a small craft cider company based in Transylvania, our cider is produced in small batches from 100% apple or pear juice, it passes through a slow fermentation and a period of at least 3 month maturation and all this information has to be visible on the label. As our cider is very different from the industrial cider on the market we really want that our label express the quality and elegance of a craft product. Our actual label and design is appreciated by our customers but since we are changing the bottle type we need to adapt our label and also improve it with new informations and quality details.
Description of the product target audience
Cider is a new product in Romania so our customers are mainly young (25-40) but well informed customers, corporate and all sort of people with a fairly good income level that understand and appreciate a craft product and they are looking for a quality rather then cheap cider, women also not just men.
Our actualy design isn't adapted to our new bottle plus it doesn't show all the information we would like to transmit to the customer. As we ar passing from a very elegant type of bottle to a more simple one we want to add more style to the new label in order to compensate the lack of personality of our new bottle. Some of the elements of our old design like Harvester logo, background and the fruits should be integrated in the new label in a way or an other (the designer could change colors or add his own touch to it). The new label will be only one piece so all the information from the front and back label has to be integrated in only one label. Informations shown on the label:
-in front "330 ml", "alc. 5,5% vol.", "cidru de mere" on the apple type, "cidru de pere" on the pear one
-on the side or sides text for ingredients (aprox 20 words), text for our story (aprox 70 words), producers adress and details, serving instructions, bar code place, expiry date and batch number place.
-also in front, in an elegant way some more informations like "minimum 90 days maturation", "handcrafted in Transylvania", "produced in small batches", "100% apple (or pear) juice" and signature of our cider maker.
What to avoid
We don't want stock imagery and any elements that would make our product look cheap.
The maximum hight is 102 mm and the maximum width is 185 mm if the label goes arround the bottle but the shape and the dimension of the label are up to the designer, it has to be just 1 label (no back label) and we wouldn't like to have it going arround the bottle, just enough to put all the information and to look elegant
