A sample section:
Insecurity visits everyone, often. I fight it every day. So do you.
Insecurity lies. It only lies. It always lies. It cannot be trusted.
Insecurity is a bully.
Insecurity is powerless. It only eats the fuel we feed it.
Insecurity is fear.
Insecurity tells us to “sit down, shut up and do nothing.” This is why there are singers who do not sing and writers who do not write. The whole world suffers the loss of their contribution when Insecurity renders them inactive. The planet never sees their masterpiece. Ears never hear an unwritten symphony.
Insecurity cannot be touched, smelled or held. It can only be felt. It is always damaging, depressing and disapproving. It is evil.
Insecurity is inside. It cannot be banished by medication. It is the foe within. Only its host can drive it out.
Insecurity seeks only to drop you down a peg; never pushes you to a higher rung. Always regression, never progress. Always weakens, never empowers.
Insecurity is a bad habit, teaching us to put-off, postpone and procrastinate.
Insecurity is scared to be alone.
Insecurity tells you that you must be free of fear in order to achieve. Security knows that “free from fear” is an illusion. There is no “fearless leader.” And, the ones who try to appear fearless are idiots.
Insecurity cannot be vanquished. But Insecurity can be dominated.
This book is meant for leadership, specifically leaders in non-profit or religious organizations.
I would guess that the average reader would be age 30-45.
Cover might include something like a "security blanket" or something immensely unshakable. I used a "fragile" box, but that was too negative and wimpy sounding.
The book title is InSecurity not Insecurity.
Typical book cover requirements. I have attached my attempt at a cover design.
I would prefer a white book jacket, but open to whatever.
Spine should have book title, author name and perhaps an icon or symbol.
Front and back are open for anything. Back needs space for 4 2-sentence reviews from other authors. It should also have space for a picture of me and a 4-5 line bio. Top of back should have a catchy large phrase, perhaps. Maybe a line from text above?
