Attorney & Law
We are a boutique criminal defense law firm in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our attorneys represent people charged with misdemeanors and felonies in the criminal justice system. We specialize in providing exceptional legal representation and excellent client service. Our primary target audience is the professional (lawyer, doctor, accountant, etc.) who provides our firm with referrals. When their clients are arrested, we are the attorneys who go into court to defend them. Our secondary target audience are clients charged with crimes. Their life and freedom are in jeopardy and we ensure they receive the best defense.
What's your vision?
We want a two-sided card that we can mail to our contacts to celebrate the New Year. The card should be festive, professional, clean, and humorous. I'd like our card to stand out from other holiday cards and not look generic. This is a New Year's card, so please don't use images of Christmas trees, Christmas ornaments, or anything Christmas related. First side should include the text: (1) "Happy New Year!" (2) "Make Good Choices!" (3) "If you make some bad ones, call us." #2 and #3 should be presented together and should be the main focus; "Happy New Year" can appear alone and should not be the focus of the card. Second side should include the greeting, "Happy New Year", and include: * photo of two attorneys (can be cropped by designer) * business phone number (801-839-4649) * business address (405 South Main Street, Suite 930, Salt Lake City, UT 84111) * website address (www.conyersnix.com) * space on the right side to place a mailing label (3"x1") * the bottom of the card (0.625") should not include any text because the post office will place a barcode sticker on the bottom of the card (more info about this can be found on page 8: https://about.usps.com/publications/pub600.pdf). The second side should incorporate the handcuff of our logo, but not include the full logo. Printing Requirements COLOR: Full Color Both Sides SIZE: 6" x 9" Horizontal PAPER: 14 pt. Gloss Cover
Thank you so much for your designs! You were chosen because you used cartoon illustrations that were funny, creative, and nicely designed. Your ideas helped inspire and refine the final design. Here's what I'd like you to create: I'd like the front of the card to be a courtroom illustration with the two lawyers that look like the lawyers of our firm (woman with red curly hair, man with black hair). They should appear standing next to Santa, who is their client. There should be three people sitting in the audience behind them: Mrs. Claus, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (maybe with him blowing nose and the tissue lights up because of his nose), and an elf. The judge should have a speech bubble that asks, "How do you plead?" Santa should have a speech bubble that answers, "No No No." I'd like the judge to be a black man wearing glasses. The front of the card should have our logo on it. On the back of the card, the photo of the attorneys should be removed. On the left side of the card, the text "Make Good Choices!" and "If you make some bad ones, call us." should appear on the back with our contact information. "Happy New Year!" should also appear. The right side of the card should remain clear for a mailing label and stamp. Thank you for your talent and creativity!

And then… they selected a winner!
I asked for a New Year's card for an attorney office. I had an idea of what I wanted and Melb_MTL delivered....but they also showed me an alternative design that convinced me to go in a different direction. This creative thinking is why this designer won! Sometimes a client needs the designer to think differently about a concept. Melb_MTL was responsive to messages and understanding of my many edits. :) They were quick to implement design updates. I highly recommend this talented designer!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
