Food & Drink
Food and drink (wine, craft beer, whiskey) Event Calendar
What's your vision?
Design a 2-column email newsletter "template" which is compatible and easily usable in "Campaign Monitor" email platform (reference website is www.createsend.com). -easily editable in Campaign Monitor, -Email format should be old-school tables html (unfortunately, email is still that way!) -the audience/demographic who reads this email is generally well-educated, white collar and "Foodie"/wine lovers, -need room for 3 ads in various sizes including top banner under logo/header line around 600w x 120h, other ads go in 2nd column (right side), -left column should be about 2/3rds of width, right column 1/3rd (around 600 pixels wide in total for both columns so easily readable by mobile devices) -main column is left column under header and banner ad - This is the MOST important information for the Calendar - it is "Featured Events" - needs to be easily editable and include 3 columns: Col 1 (about 20% of width): image/graphic room for around 100 x 100 (graphics added will vary in size) - usually restaurant logos or photos of wine bottles, breweries, food-oriented.. Col 2 (about 20% of width): Date in format: Month, day, day of week (Monday-Sunday), time, Col 3 (about 60% of width): -Line 1: Small graphics signifying "wine tasting", "wine dinner" etc..themes are wine, beer, whiskey, cooking class, and multi-chef events, -Line 2: Title (eg. "4-Course Mondavi Wine Dinner at Bouchon"), -Line 3: Location - name of venue/restaurant, address with zip code, -Line 4-6: details with room for about 150 words, ending with highlighted info on how to purchase tickets (needs link for websites and/or email), -Facebook,Twitter, and Youtube small logos with links (respectively: https://www.facebook.com/TasteDC, https://twitter.com/#!/TasteDC, http://www.youtube.com/user/tastedc1, -Place for me (Charlie Adler) to editorialize "a little" (100 words or so) and promote my Blog/Book: "I Drink on the Job" (http://www.idrinkonthejob.com/blog/), -graphic and link to my book website: http://www.idrinkonthejob.com/blog/), -obvious email stuff like prominent notice to "unsubscribe" (should be top of email), how to subscribe (link is http://www.tastedc.com/mailinglist.html - note: this website is being revamped..), etc., Ultimately, I'll need design + html because Campaign Manager works best with html, 2nd is template.
This email will go through multiple upgrades with a focus on analytics. Also the TasteDC website will be re-vamped to include more information on these events so that email subscribers click to TasteDC and get more graphic details. More design and development will be needed for expansion to other cities including New York and ultimately the major Metros of the US (www.tasteusa.com will ultimately be the website)
