A brand new Weight Loss Program needs a stunning Ebook design!
What's your vision?
AS SOON AS I SEE A COUPLE OF DESIGNS GETTING SOMEWHERE NEAR WHAT I WANT, I WILL GUARANTEE THE COMPETITION. MY LAST COMPETITION WAS GUARANTEED BY DAY 2, AWARDED ON DAY 4. I want to end up with a very attractive ebook aimed at the weight loss market. I have had the logo designed – on 99Designs – and am very pleased with it. Obviously, the ebook needs to reflect the logo design and colour. SEEK OUT THE FILE: 123SLIMMR LOGO.JPG – IT’S VITAL. Also the “123Slimmr Sample pages.doc" repeats this spec, for your reference. (I have given you 40 pages of the 180 page book - just to give you a good idea of how the whole thing looks. I am only expecting 2-3-4 pages back from you showing off your ideas!) For this competition, I want designers to provide me with a stylish “style specification” which I can take to another designer and say: “apply that style to my 180-page book”. What I’d Like To See **Text** I’d like a specification for the font, size, and style for text throughout the book including: -The Preface -Contents page -Headings and sub-headings of different size -Body text -Blockquotes -Bullets -The “Summary” and key points listed at the end of each chapter -The “saying” at the end of most chapters **Graphics** I’d like to see a mock-up of pages with graphics included. Please feel free to be creative in the graphic design. As a guide, obviously use the logo as a starting point for the look, feel and colours. I asked the logo designer for a “web 2.0” feel, so you might bear that in mind. Beyond that, I prefer to be up-to-date or even cutting edge rather than stodgy or boring. I tend to like modern... clean… stylish… subtle rather than “in-your-face”. So I hope that gives you enough leeway to be creative! I look forward to seeing your designs. **Demographics for my weight loss program: -Middle aged and up -Femail -Moderately educated and above **Summary So, I guess it’s probably best to show me the following: - 1-2 pages of text with all your recommended styling incorporated – bullets, heading 1, heading 2 etc, blockquotes, a chapter summary, a “saying”; then all of your graphics recommendations for the page. Either use my actual pages if you want (in which case you may need more than 2 pages), or just cut and paste parts of my book sample and apply your styles to that. It’s only a mockup! - a page with half a dozen lines illustrating your Preface style - a page with half a dozen lines illustrating your Contents style - A specification of the Word styles used – or, ideally, a Word document with the style already saved in it. (Is that possible? I suppose so!) I attach a bunch of images which you are free to use. PLEASE NOTE – “weight loss” images often seem to lean towards the “young and female” but that is NOT my market: it’s middle aged and up. So bear this in mind if you consider using images of “fit birds” lol. I hope my specification is clear: if you want any clarification **please message me**. Many thanks Malc
Good luck everyone! And don't forget to come back to me with any questions at all. Malc
