Hips got their new other graphic design by running a design contest:
Design simple images that use a mountaineering theme (map, climbers etc) to represent our technical services (see attachments)
Check out Hips's Other Graphic Design contest…
Provides the following services: - Search Engine Optimization - Technical Architecture - Software Development - UX and Information Architecture - Collaborative Design Thinking Young dynamic stat-up with clients in many industries including airlines, e-commerce & retail, marketing sites, real estate, informational and financial companies etc. The website is following a mountaineering theme using analogies between technolgies & software to mountaineering skills.
What's your vision?
Would like an image displaying each of the 5 services we offer (see brief) in a mountaineering theme style. As the image should include all services and these services should be clearly visible, the individual representation of each service will probably need to be simple abstractions rather than bitmap photos). Ideally, only a few colours would be used (everything being black, white and grey is accepatble). The company colours are white, greys and blue (see logo). The image could be either portrait or landscape and the organisation of the individual services images can be arranged any way you think best within the image. If it becomes too crowded then you can omit the words and I'll do them via tooltips and a list on one side of the image (or perhaps just single words/ abbreviations such as 'SEO', 'UX, 'Dev', 'Architecture'). Again if too crowded then omit the 'Design Thinking' representation. Ideas decsribed below and messily drawn in attachment. - Flag saying 'SEO' planted on top of a mountain peak to rep[resent SEO. - Old fashioned map of mountain showing ascending route by arrows marked on map held in 2 hands to represent Technical Architecture. - A group of 3 or 4 people roped together in the distance as they ascend to represent software development. Another idea for software development was to write it in the tracks left behind by the group or in the tracks of a descending skier. - A triangular stack of stones with a sign pointing that says 'UX' to represent user interaction. - A group of mountaineers (or silhouettes) standing together discussing, perhaps one pointing diagonally upwards with an ice axe to show the others something or though bubbles from their heads -> this to represent collaborative design thing. Thanks!
We've trying to be innovative and differentiate ourselves by combining experience with an ability to think outside the box to solve problems. Target audiuence would be marketing people seeking technical help by well-balanced techies.
