I am attempting to refine a design for a triathlon race "kit" for my team of Ironman triathletes. I am focusing on a long-sleeve speedsuit, which is a "onesie" that includes sleeves and 9 in shorts. I have an initial concept I wish to explore, but am open to some creativity around my design, or something new.
The primary colors must be red and black, and I am trying to leave at least 30-40% of the kit in light gray and/or white.
Instead of being pure white or pure gray, I am trying to incorporate a geometric diamond white/gray abstract pattern.
I am also trying to incorporate the following:
1.) Some asymmetry
2.) Red chevrons or something similar that connotes motion.
3.) Two thick black paint brush stroke patterns, with a textured feel on the edges and a slight drop shadow. The lower stripe must cover the genitals area in front and back). I am trying to integrate a red stroke and possibly grey as in the sample shorts below.
4.) My Delphi logo, ideally in the middle of the chest but I am up for other creative placement. Also on the back of the neck.
5.) The logo of my apparel sponsor, Wattie Ink, who normally prefers four logos - 2 on each side (on the shoulder and bottom)
6.) Design elements that mimic Hayabusa are a plus, namely the stripes of the sample shirt and brush strokes of the sample shorts.
7.) I like Gradients whenever possible, especially for the white/gray areas.
I am still debating whether to include "Human Performance Systems" in the front and/or back and how- inside the black paint stroke? Within gray bars? Red bars? On top of the white/gray area instead?
