CAM Environmental Services needs a new business or advertising

We are a consulting firm specializing in the sampling, testing, and analysis of asbestos, lead-based paints, and mold. Our services are used by building and facility managers to determine the presence of these hazardous materials before performing any kind of renovations or modifications that would require breaking into wall cavities. We do a lot of work for schools and school districts keeping an inventory of hazardous materials (primarily asbestos containing building materials such as insulation, gaskets, roofing materials, etc) including location and condition. Facility managers then use this information to determine the risk to the occupants as well as the priority for repair, replacement, or removal. The problem comes when well-meaning building occupants (could be teachers, parents, or other school staff) take it upon themselves to perform modifications or repairs to the building without contacting the Facility Manager and checking whether or not the area contains any types of potential hazards. Examples include installing a built-in bookshelf (opening a wall cavity and exposing workers and occupants to mold growing on the back of sheet-rock or asbestos insulation), sanding and painting window trim (many older buildings contain lead-based paints), or installing computer cable through the walls (again, potentially disturbing asbestos insulation or drilling/cutting through electrical, natural gas or water lines).
What's your vision?
Remember the old "Stop - Look - Listen" posters from the 1950's that taught school children (and parents) how to watch for trains before walking through a railroad crossing? I need something similar for use in a school to alert teachers, parents, and school staff to the potential hazards that lie behind the walls, ceilings, and floors of their classrooms and offices before they start any kind of improvement, repair, or decorating project. This will be part of a communications plan aimed to get school staff to call the Facility Manager and verify that there is no potentially hazardous materials in the planned work areas before they cut, drill, sand, or punch through the wall, ceilings, or floors. Campaign Name: Stop, Think & Verify Format: 16" x 20" color informational wall poster or "infographic" Target Audience: public school teachers and staff File Format: Adobe Photoshop or InDesign (will consider other programs) Main message to be conveyed (via text and/or graphics) is: ------------------------------------------- "Stop - before doing any kind of improvement or decorating projects that involve sanding, drilling, cutting, breaking, or opening any part of the walls, ceilings, floors, or windows ..... Think - consider the potential hazards that may be lurking behind there that might be released into the classroom ...... (These hazards might include asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, mold, electrical wires, natural gas, and water lines.) Verify - take the time to call the Facility Manager in order to verify that it's OK to begin your project. The Facility Manager for your school is _________________ (leave space for a name and phone)" -------------------------------------------- Other than the "Stop, Think & Verify" title, you can use whatever combination of wording and graphics to get the points across. At the bottom of the poster (either right or left side), I want to have the following information: Courtesy of: Our logo (file attached) Our website (www.cam-enviro.com) Some ideas might include a person innocently drilling a hole in a wall while a variety of monsters, snakes, and other "evil" things (each representing a potential hazard, of course) wait on the other side looking for a chance to break out. Another idea might be the "infographic" format that's popular nowadays. Another might include a traffic cop and other graphics representing each action (Stop, Think, Verify). Important Note: All graphics, pictures, or illustrations must be public domain and free from all copyright claims.
I know that no matter how great the design will be, I'll probably want to eventually change something so I need the final file to be in an electronic format that I can modify. That's why I prefer Adobe Photoshop or InDesign. The poster will eventually be distributed by email as a PDF file in addition to printing actual posters (which also requires PDF files).
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Other business or advertising starts at $269.
