We're a blog about online persuasion - (in need of an infographic)
What's your vision?
Infographic: "Persuasion Prism" => I'd love you to design an infographic on the topic of ''online persuasion" for me. A) Persuasion Prism I gathered roughly 250 'online persuasion techniques' (omg, I know). I've divided these techniques into 5 dimensions and a total of 16 categories. I'd like to have these 3 'layers' (dimensions-categories-techniques) visualized in an infographic. B) Prezi.com My idea is to use the infographic in a Prezi.com presentation format. This way my 'Persuasion Prism' becomes an interactive tool for exploring online persuasion techniques. Interested people can open the 'Persuasion Prism Prezi' which will: - start with a beautiful 'overview' infographic (that you designed). - From there they can click&zoom in on a specific category, which will show them the related techniques. - From there they can zoom further into one specific persuasion technique, where I'll explain the technique and show ab-testing cases that prove it's effectiveness. C) My own sketches I made 2 sketches (there no good, I'm not a designer :-), just to give you an idea of the direction I'm thinking. I used the well-known 'Conversation-Prism' Look & Feel as inspiration (see: http://www.theconversationprism.com). However, although it looks beautiful this 1st direction will not work since I "can't zoom in on coloured parts in a Prezi.com presentation" (gets blurry)... One solution could be the sketches 2a&b (although they're way more ugly). This solution consists of a pie chart in the centre with the 5 dimensions. Surrounding the inner circle is a second layer that displays the 16 categories. Around is stated "online persuasion" (by coincidence 16 letters :). Clicking a category in this setup would turn and zoom in on the letter above the category like sketch 2b, revealing the techniques. Please feel free to use this input, or come up with something completely different!!! C) Desires I'd like you to design an infographic that: 1. Gives a very beautiful 1st impression of the 'Persuasion Prism' 2. Directly shows the 5 dimensions and 16 categories 3a. (optional) Preferably uses an image or contours of a brain (since persuasion is based on the way our brains work) 3b. (optional) Preferably uses visual cues that clarify the fact it's about "online / digital" persuasion. 4. Makes it possible to zoom in (Prezi.com) on a specific category. (you can leave the part where I place the techniques blank, since I and others will be adding techniques on a daily basis to the Prezi). Curiously looking fw 2 your design... :-)
- I always provide 100% feedback (see my previous contests) - I have always chosen a winner and will guarantee as soon as there's 1 'good-enough-design' And please do feel free to ask any questions you have: - @BartS (twitter) - Bart@online-persuasion.com Happy desinging!
