Travel & Hotel
We create expert budget travel content written by current undergraduates. In addition to our print books, we are creating a new line of mobile applications and a website.
What's your vision?
We are releasing a line of Explore apps. Screens we need: 1. Trip slideshow screen 2. Home menu - Trip table view tab - Share tab 3. Point of interest table view 4. Point of interest detail view 5. Map icons (detailed below) We have created an app, that is already complete in development, for which we want some awesome graphic design. There are 23 apps, one for each city. Each app has 5 itineraries with around 5 points of interest for each itinerary. As we have coded it, users can switch between the trips by paging through them like a slideshow. They can then click on the title of the trip and a table view with the listings (points of interests) will slide up from the bottom. It is also possible to page through these table views across the different trips. A "map" button is available on this screen (see outlined mockups) so a user can map the locations. When a user selects a point of interest, a detail view will slide in for that point of interest. A user can page between the detail views to view the different points of interest of a certain trip. The types of information to be displayed in a table view cell is depicted in the mockups, as is the information to be displayed in the detail view. Going back to the slideshow. There is a home button on each page which will bring the user to a Home menu at the farthest left of the slideshow. This menu consists of two sections: 1) a list of all the trips and a button to map all of those trips. 2) a share section for the user to share the app and visit the Let's Go website. In the map section, we need five sets (each a different color) of numbered pins (1-5) to represent the POIs. There should also be a locate me and a close button for the map.
We want these apps to have a light (e.g. light-colored), sleek, and clean feel to them. Be creative in terms of other colors, fonts, background images or positioning of elements, but remember to make the rest of the design compatible with the logo's color and feel. We've attached a font (in different style and weights) that we've used in the past and that we feel may be helpful (though not required) in an app like this one. Feel free to use it as a starting point.

Cto collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
