To allow users to track their current spending and tag/ categorise transactions on the move. This is to complement their web personal finance management solution where the transactions tagged will be sync to their existing web account. The app will also pull data from the web version to display a simple financial dashboard such as viewing their income vs budget on real time.

Personal Finance Management App

The moment users enter the app, they will be presented with 6 options (see attached) where when the user clicks on each option they will be presented with the appropriate screen. Designer is to design 2 of those options (see attached) 1) A screen for user to see immediately in real time what is their current total spending vs their budget vs their income. Should be brief and graphical. There should be an option for the user the drill down deeper to see the details. 2) A screen to keep track of their spending by tagging transactions. Here the user can key in the amount spent, categorise the transaction and also the sub- category, the date of spending and some optional notes (example: $5, Beverage, Starbucks, 12/6/2012, Drink with friend). This must be easy, intuitive and fast for the user.
