Ben120010174 got their new app design by running a design contest:
Beautiful & Clean iPhone App Design Needed
Check out Ben120010174's App design contest…
The Royal Nation app is an app that will provide up to the second information on Hamilton Southeastern High School's varsity sports teams! It will provide game scores, team headlines, game schedules, and rosters.
I want the app to be clean and slick! Please use the school colors -- blue, grey, and white!!!! I have attached the logo I was also thinking that in each "box" of info in the main screen we would use a photo as a background with a black to clear gradient on the bottom. For example, for the scores screen for football, there might be a photo of the scoreboard on the background. However, YOU are the designer so it's all up to you, this is just what I had in mind initially. If you can think of better ways to display this content then please by all means go in that direction.
SCREEN ONE: This is the main screen of the app. This is where the users will spend most of their time. Please go download the Groupon app for iPhone (I have also attached photos of the screen I am talking about). This is the layout I want to use for the app. The different teams will be at the top of the app (i.e football (United States Football), track, basketball) and the user will scroll left to right to switch between the teams. I only need you to design one of these screens, if I pick your design for the first screen, then I will probably hire you for the rest of the screen. Like in the groupon app, there is a little "handle" at the bottom of the screen that lets the user pull up to get more info. I want this little "handle" to say "All Teams" or something to that effect. Again, like on the groupon app there are boxes of "deals". Instead of "Deals" I want these boxes to hold the following information: 1. Game Scores 2. Headlines -- News that's important to the team. (i.e Bill Smith just signed with Michigan University). 3. Game Schedules (i.e Royals vs Tigers on May 20th) 4. Team Rosters (i.e Jim James // #4 // Quartback // Varsity These boxes should just provide a preview of the latest information. When the user taps on one of the boxes, then they are taken to a more detailed view of the information (screen two). In the scores section, there needs to be an "Add score" button. This is where parents and authorized users will add updated score information -- right from the app. You may design this screen now if you'd like. It needs to have a spot for the game time and quarter, as well as the scores of each team. SCREEN TWO: THis screen provides a more detailed view of the information in one of the boxes (scores, rosters, etc) from the first screen. For this design project, you can just pick one of the content areas. If i pick your design then I will hire you to design the others. I was thinking that this screen would slide up over top the main screen, and the user could dismiss the detailed screen with an "x" in the top corner. More info: I have attached the first couple of screens that set the app up. They are a rough draft that I created. Again, I may hire you to re-desgin these screens if I pick you app. You do NOT need to follow those design cues. The rest of the app does NOT have to look like those first two screens that I've attached. The teams that are along the top of the app in the navigation bar will be the teams that the user selected as "Favorites". The rest of the teams will "live" in the all teams "handle" at the bottom of the app.
What to avoid
This website below will help you fill in some filler content, but you should not take design cues from the website. It should be used for information only, not as an example for how the app should look.
